LG Global wanted to make a splash at Times Square by celebrating its brand line ‘Life’s Good.’ The answer - introducing LG Good News Billboard, created to spread cheer by disrupting New Yorkers and global visitors with a living, breathing character named ‘GIL’ (Life is Good in reverse).

 
 
 
 

Working closely with our digital partners at North Kingdom, a lighting-speed high-resolution 3D rendering program was developed, linking human choreographed movements with an animated character enabling it to respond in real-time. Drawing from RSS news feeds, the weather, tweets, and even messages from the crowd below, GIL came alive to give everyone’s day an unexpectedly happy twist.
